Geoghegan running in section 2 broke the tape in 3:58.04, and along the way broke the Dartmouth College school record & New Ivy League record. Additionally he became the 5th Maine native under 4 minutes, and the 408th American.

Two of the top distance runners in the state of Maine will be taking their talents to Dartmouth College next fall. Two time Class A XC champion Will Geoghegan, and Class B indoor mile and Class C outdoor 1600m champion Henry Sterling of North Yarmouth Academy both were accepted early decision at the Ivy league school.
