Women's Cross Country Finishes Fifth at Keene Invitational

KEENE, N.H. - The Dartmouth women's cross country was back in action today as the Big Green finished fifth at the Keene Invitational on Saturday morning.

Leading the way for Dartmouth was sophomore Laura Hempel (Tallahassee, Fla.) was the Big Green's top finisher at 12th with a time of 19:34. Freshman Melanie Wilcox (Dallas, Texas) crossed the line at 19:39 to finish up at 14th, while sophomore Melissa Greco (Princeton, N.J.) took home 23rd as she ran the course in 20:02.

Dartmouth earned the fifth spot with 110 points. Amherst came away with the team title with 25 points and Keene State took second with 85 points. Amherst's Sophia Galleher won the individual race with a time of 18:40 as the Lord Jeffs place four in the top six places to earn the team title.

Next up for the Big Green will be the New England Championships at Franklin Park in Boston.
