KEENE, N.H. - Led by freshman
Phil Royer (Portsmouth, R.I.), the Dartmouth men's cross country team finished second at the Keene Invitational on Saturday.
Royer took fourth overall with a time of 26:09, which was about a full minute behind Ruben Sanca, who was unattached at the invitational. The top collegiate runner was Daniel Murner of Amherst College, who finished at 25:54.
Sophomore
Dylan Summers (Wolfeboro, N.H.) was the second member of the Big Green to finish in the top-10 as he ran the course in 26:14. The third and final harrier to make it into the top-10 was junior
Chase Eldredge (Douglasville, Ga.). He finished eighth with a time of 26:17.
Keene State came out on top in the team competition with 44 points, while Dartmouth ended up with 66 points for second place.
Dartmouth will be back in action next weekend at the New England Championship at Franklin Park in Boston.
