Five Events You Can't Miss At New England's!

Boys' 600m

Expect the top runners to take off right from the gun in this one. Cebastian Gentil of East Greenwich (RI) owns the nation's fastest time this season with his state record of 1:19.97 from the Dr. Sanders Invitational on Jan. 27. He'll be matched at the line with Theo Burba of Newton North (MA), who clocked sub 1:19 as a tenth-grader last year and this winter has a best of 1:20.16. There's also Leominster's Jon Polanco, who clocked 1:20.79 to defeat Burba at the Division I meet, and Connecticut state titlist Malcolm Going of Danbury, who has a PR of 1:20.40.  Keep an eye on the digital clock after the first 400m. We expect it will be in the 51-second range.  We could have two, possibly three, under 1:20 this weekend.
