Flashback Friday: Drew Hunter Sets Oatlands Invite Record

In 2015 Loudoun Valley (VA) graduate, Drew Hunter set the course record at the Oatlands Invitational. Hunter's record-setting time was 15:12.00. That same season Hunter went on to win Foot Locker Nationals in 14:55.70.

With Virginia's cross country season postponed until February no one will have a shot at Hunter's record this September. The Oatlands Invitational is historically one of the strongest early seasons meets for Virginia teams to make a name for themselves and show what they have for the upcoming season.

Meets we will be watching this weekend as the cross country season continues in some states and gets into full swing in others are the Friday Night Lights Festival in Kernersville, North Carolina, The Hebron Friday Night Hawk Invitational in Carrollton, Texas, the Rumble Through the Jungle in Goshen, Kentucky, Forest Park XC Festival in Saint Charles, Missouri and the Wasatch XC Invitational in Soldier Hollow, Utah.
