National Girls Performer Of The Week (5-1/5-6)

Last week's girls National Performer of the Week winner may very well be someone we could see a lot over the next few years.

Marble Falls (TX) High freshman Bailey Goggans, who went 2:10.01 in the 800m for a US No. 7 time at her Region 5A-4 Championship meet, earned over 58-percent of the vote to score the honors.

Goggans has been impressively consistent at the distance over her seasons, nabbing five times under 2:13 heading into the UIL Championships this week in Austin, Texas.

What can she do at state? Goggans is the No. 3 ranked freshman in the country, and would need a time below 2:09.40 to claim top class honors in 2018 for the time begin.

We'll see what happens at state, but in the meantime a big congratulations goes out to Goggans for winning weekly national honors.

Now on to this week's candidates. Whose week was most deserving of National Performer of the Week?
