She did it. She did the one thing that would get her to the No. 1 spot for the second straight season. Tuohy's spectacular national outdoor record in the mile (4:33.87) capped a tremendous spring season that saw the prodigious talent secure a national record in the 3200m (9:47.88) at the Loucks Games and a sophomore class record in the 3K (9:09.71) at the New York State Championships. For good measure, she earned a US No. 1 mark of 4:14.45 in the 1500m -- giving her four on the season. Tuohy is the athlete to hold both the 1-mile and 2-mile records at the same time.

Caitlin Collier has one more race on the international stage to get under 2:00 in the 800m. But she's coming off probably her best race of her high school career at the USA Junior Championships, where she battled Sammy Watson for a trip to U20s and finished in 2:01.66. Along with her 2:00.85 at the Music City Distance Carnival -- the fifth fastest time all all-time -- Collier orchestrated three efforts under 2:03 in 2018. She also ran a US No. 2 mile time of 4:38.48 and a US No. 2 effort of 4:26.03 in the 1500m.

The Ohio sprint star culminated her high school career with her fourth straight title at 100 and 200 meters. What was most impressive, though, was her No. 12 all-time effort of 22.73 in the 200m. That was legendary. She's ranked No. 2 in combined time for the 100-200 in 2018.
