Athletes To Watch: Anoush Krafian, Belmont
When it comes to versatility, the Marouders' senior is one of our state's best. Krafian's specialty is the hurdles. She won the indoor 55m hurdles crown this past winter and is the defending state titlist for the 100m hurdles on the outdoor surface where she broke the tape in a PR and state-leading time of 14.64. Krafian is also one of our state's top high jumpers with a best of 5-6 and a 17-foot long jumper. No surprise, the Belmont standout won the pentathlon at the All State Meet. She also earned All-American status by finishing fifth in the heptathlon at the New Balance Nationals. Look for Krafian to once against excel this season against her competition.
