What are your goals for the upcoming season?

My goals for this season is to improve my form as well as my time. I want to get farther than I did last year. I am working hard to win states again for the hurdles. And am looking to run the 400 this season.

What have you done to improve in the off-season?

I played soccer in the fall. In the pre season of Track I went on runs as well as well as worked on speed endurance. I lifted weights and worked on hurdles, form and speed work.

What does a typical week look like for you training wise?

On Monday's we do endurance work, one example of a work out is the 8 200s we run. Mid week (Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday) I work on hurdles and starts all those days. And on Friday I do speed endurance and lift weights to stay in shape.

What competitions are you most looking forward to this season?

I am looking forward to running against all my competitors. Certainly I am looking forward to the big meets, which are states and new England's. I will work hard all season in preparation for these important meets.

What was one thing you learned last year that will help you the most this season?

I learned how to prepare for a race correctly. I learned to have confidence in my abilities and I don't just want to rely on my raw abilities but I have to strengthen and work hard.

Do you have any pre-race rituals or routines?

Yes before every race I listen to upbeat music to get me in the mood to race. I do all the hurdle stretches to prepare for the races. I also like to hang out with my friends to over come my nerves.

What is your favorite food to eat the night before a meet?

Before every meet I have a apple and as always a blue gatorade.

What is the best piece of advice anyone has given you?

That if you believe in yourself you will go far. This is important to me because if concentrate on my race I will do better and run faster.

If you were could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?

If I could travel anywhere I would want to go travel to Rome. When I was Europe this summer I wasn't able to go there and would love to.
