Smith Charles, Milton
Charles has been one of our most dominant sprinters and long jumpers the last few years and that shouldn't change this indoor season. The Milton standout is the defending state titlist in the 55-meter dash and the long jump where he owns best of 6.40 and 23-2 (indoors). In the short sprint, Charles just missed All-American status by taking eighth overall in the 60m dash at the New Balance Nationals. The versatile Charles has potential to earn three individual titles this winter. He's also the top returning high jumper with a best of 6-6. Pulling off a triple certainly won't be easy for Charles, particular in the 55m dash. In that event, he faces last year's runner-up and defending 300m titlist Nikolas Smith of Northampton and 100m outdoor state and New England champion Davonte Burnett of Needham.
