La Salle rules DMR at Dartmouth!

Day 1 at the Dartmouth Relays couldn’t have started out any better for R.I. athletes.

Especially, La Salle Academy.

The Rams kicked off the first day of competition by winning both distance medley relays Friday night. The boys were just a few seconds off their nation No. 2 from the R.I. Principe (3:14, 1,200m), senior Jess Woodbury (:54, 400m), junior Jack Salisbury (2:00, 800m) and junior Matt Bouthillette (4:25, 1,600m). Cumberland finished a solid third overall in the race with a time of 10:42.08, a time that ranks No. 7 in the nation.  That foursome included junior James Haupt (3:16, 1,200m), senior Kody Sankey (55.6, 400m), senior David Agudelo (2:02.7, 800m) and senior Abdullah Kaba (4:27.6, 1,600m).

In the girls’ DMR, the La Salle girls won by more than 20 seconds with their winning time of 12:26.25, the second fastest time in the country so far.
